Incumbent Worker Grants Help Businesses Stay Competitive

(March 11, 2010) The federal Workforce Investment Act funds grants to businesses to pay for worker training. The goals of the grant funding are to enhance workers’ skills and to help businesses become more competitive.

The State of North Carolina has recently issued revisions to the incumbent worker grant program. To read the current guidelines and see the application, click to the Business Services section of this website and scroll down to Incumbent Worker Grants.

If you are interested in applying for a grant, contact Ruby Greene at 828-265-5434, ext. 129 or rgreene@regiond.org.
