» About the High Country Workforce Development BoardThe mission of the High Country Workforce Development Board (WDB) is to facilitate the development of a skilled workforce that responds to the needs of the area's employers for quality and diversity in a globally competitive economy. The High Country WDB meets on the second Thursday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. Board Members Workforce Development Board members are appointed the Chief Elected Official of their political jurisdiction, In the High Country, that means the Chairman of County Commissioners from each county makes appointments. For business members, the Chairman makes appointments from nominations presented by a local Chamber of Commerce or other general purpose business organization Click here for a list of our Consortium members.
